Join fellow alum Sam Chereskin, AB’10, as he shares his experiences founding a new distillery, Misadventure & Co., in North County San Diego. His company makes its vodka from unsold baked goods in an effort to curb food waste in our area. Discussion on the changing nature of sustainability will follow, over drinks and hors d’oeurvres. The vodka and craft cocktail samples will come from Misadventure, and Kitchens for Good—which also rescues food from elsewhere in order to make its gourmet fare—will provide the provisions. The San Diego Food Bank and North County Food Policy Council will be Misadventure’s guests.
