ADVANCES IN CARDIAC ULTRASOUND AT SCRIPPS LA JOLLA
Join fellow club members to learn how Scripps Health is using pocket-sized ultrasound devices to allow physicians and patients to see the inner workings of the heart — in real time.
Cardiovascular Limited Ultrasound Examination (CLUE) enables Scripps physicians to use pocket-sized ultrasound devices to provide physicians and patients a great deal of information that stethoscopes cannot provide. The cutting-edge device allows them to see the inner workings of the heart—and share it with patients in real time. In only two minutes, Scripps physicians can provide a more detailed and efficient examination than with a stethoscope.
Dr. Bruce Kimura, MD, Medical Director, Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound at Scripps Mercy Hospital, will lead a presentation of the CLUE device and answer questions. There will be ample time for discussion and networking over light refreshments afterwards.
Interested attendees can have a scan performed (in a separate, private room) after the presentation, free of charge.
Validated parking will be provided.
