About the Presenter: 
 

Michael O’Toole leads the GRADTalk program at UChicagoGRAD, where he helps graduate students and postdocs improve their public speaking skills and prepare for interviews, presentations, and job talks. Michael received a PhD from the Department of Music at the University of Chicago in 2014 and developed his public speaking skills over several years presenting his research at national and international conferences. He organizes the University of Chicago’s annual Three Minute Thesis Competition, working with graduate students to help them prepare concise and engaging three minute presentations of their thesis research.
