About the Presenters: 

Alison DeVries is an Associate Director of Student Preparation at Career Advancement. In her role, she develops career programming and advises students and young alumni on various stages of their career development. Previously, she worked with Valparaiso University’s Institute for Leadership and Service in student engagement and program management to support students in their long-term growth in leadership, service, and professional development. Alison earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Service and French from Valparaiso University.

Melissa Ross is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School.  Following graduation, she practiced in the finance and bankruptcy departments first at Thompson Coburn and later at Latham & Watkins.  In addition to being an active volunteer, she works as a student adviser for UChicago Career Advancement.
